Ways to Invest in Youth

Friends of Scouting

Friends of Scouting (FOS) is our “annual fund” whereby Scout parents, alumni, and others provide direct support

to the Council.  Tax deductible contributions can be made in the form of a check, charge, stock, or pledge.  Gifts

can also be made to honor someone for an accomplishment or express sympathy to a bereaved family.

Contributions might also qualify as a “Matching Gift” from your employer.

FREE BADGES FOR 12 MONTHS!

Your unit can receive free badges for all of 2010 if you hold your Friends of Scouting presentation

in November or December and meet your unit's FOS goal.

Go to the Compass Points Newsletter and open the November / December Compass and on

front page is an article that explains the program.

 Trails’ End Popcorn Sale

In 2008 the Scouts of Buffalo Trace Council sold just over $1.3 million of great tasting Trails’ End Popcorn!  70%

of the sale goes directly to Scouting providing funds for Council operations and participating Scout Units.  Begun

here in 1981, the Trails’ End Popcorn sale has grown nation-wide and is the Council’s largest single source of funds.
