Distinguished Award Nominations
Due by December 5, 2008
The Silver Beaver is the highest award presented by the National Court of Honor to council volunteers for outstanding service to youth in a local council.
The Venturing Leadership Award is available to adults and youth who show exceptional dedication, give outstanding leadership and service to Venturing and Venturers. There are medallions for Council, Regional, and National recognitions of this award. Councils are limited to presenting the award to two adults and two youth per year.
The Young American Award is a council-level award given to college students ages 19 through 25 to highlight publicly the importance of their excellent achievements and service to their community, state and nation. Recipients are not required to be a member or a participant of a local council unit or program.
Nominations for all of these awards are open until December 5, 2008. The only way a worthy individual may be selected is by someone nominating him/her. Take a moment to nominate those individuals who have gone the extra mile for youth and/or their community.
Applications may be obtained by clicking the award of choice highlighted above. If you have questions, please contact Jaime Wilder 812.423.5246 or 800.264.5246.
